About Us

The Ellington Connecticut Chapter 0562 located in central Connecticut and founded in 1985 was the first in the state with Walter “Sarge” Amprimo as our director. The Chapter started out with a handful of members and has since grown to 250+ members and is still growing, as has the sponsoring dealer, TSI Harley-Davidson. Meeting are held on the second Thursday of each month at the American Legion in Rockville, Connecticut at 7pm.

The Chapter sponsors/supports many events on and off their bikes: TSI Open houses, an annual Chapter poker run other Chapter poker runs, spring/fall golf tournament organized by Columbia Chapter, weekday dinner rides, ladies rides and Sunday rides to no-where. We also inform the chapter on a variety of charity rides either sponsored by TSI or just some of our chapter member’s favorites. The CT State H.O.G Rally is a weekend event in June that encompasses all nine Chapters in the State of Connecticut. There are guided and self guided rides, event games on and off your motorcycles, food and entertainment.

As beautiful as New England is for riding, our riders do not limit themselves to this area alone. Members ride as far as California, Florida, Myrtle Beach, Milwaukee, Prince Edward Island, Sturgis, York, and other beautiful destinations. The group also participated in an All Connecticut Chapter's ride and was pictured with the other seven State Chapters in the issue of H.O.G Tales®. Every year a different Chapter takes on the organization of the “All Chapter Ride”. We co-sponsored the event in 2006 with Columbia Chapter (our sister Chapter) and it was a huge success! We had over 300 bikes with enough police coverage so that we didn’t have to stop once on our 70+ mile ride. And then we celebrated with music and a BBQ dinner.

During our downtime (otherwise known as winter), we include trips to the NYC bike show, biker bowling, pot luck meetings and a Holiday party for survival until our springtime Breakout Ride.

The club's website is a good source of information and communication for the group. The next time you plan on visiting Connecticut, give us a call or email us; we would like to show you around our scenic New England.
